PACIFIC OCEAN (Jul. 25, 2012) - Ensign Steven McClendon climbs down the side of the guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin onto a rigid-hull inflatable boat to conduct a visit, board, search and seizure (exercise with the Royal Australian Navy frigate HMAS Perth as part of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2012. The RIMPAC exercise provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
