A lovely day today, nearly like summer and I noticed it was warmer than Auckland

Sunday barbecue is cancelled
It is raining so we are having a roast beef short ribs, new potatoes and New Zealand peas. Probably a few beers too.

Watched some through a site in Pakistan, and listened to the radio commentary, the Barmy Army sounded jubilant, the Aussies a little quiet just like most Kiwi’s are when contemplating the Black Caps fortunes or, misfortunes in India.

A surprise call from my son Paul, in Monaco
Had a call from Paul a few minutes ago, had just woken up in Monaco and is of to Italy for work later today, more cruising around the Mediterranean I guess.

The week has ended again for me
It has been a quiet week really, the kids have been practicing for their concert tomorrow, it will be very interesting and also a bit sad as I have known some of these kids for nearly five years and most of them are just wonderful.
